The North Africa Journal | News | American soldiers are reported to have been deployed in the Amchach military base located near Tassalit in the northern-most section of the west African nation of Mali. News reports say that the American troops were given permission by the French to enter the base a couple of days ago. US troops are expected to deploy across different zones in the contested north Mali.
